Day 4 of My Summer Vacation

Watch Bracelets I made today!
Look at these walls in Joyce's daughter's room!
Circle around the window
I love these circles! Do I want squares or circles in my craft room?
Lunch at Iggy's with Joyce.
Today was a more relaxing day! I loved it. First off in the morning I was having several texting conversations with Rachel, Amie and Joyce! Gotta love texting. So much fun conversing with 3 different people at one time!
Joyce came to pick me up and we had a fun lunch at Iggy's. With a purchase of a speciality drink, we got a free bag. YEAH!!!
After lunch we went back to my house where I was showing Joyce the progress of our remodeling. I think all the solictators knew I was home - doorbell kept ringing and they wouldn't go away. I had to be rude to them in order for them to get the message.
After we went to Joyce's house. Gotta love the bedroom - color and everything! Home again cuz the car window repairman came! Off shopping for some beads - I know you'd think I have enough beads but not the right colors.
Made a watch bracelet when the phone rang. Somehow I stepped on my bead box and all of my beads scattered on the tile floor! OOOHHH NNNOOO!!!! Got them all cleaned up and continued. Made my second. The third was completed and as I put it on... OH NO... it broke!!!!!
Well, of course, I cleaned it up and tried again! The end of my fun 4th day! :) Thanks, Joyce, for making it a fun day! Tomorrow - last day of my summer vacation. This week passed by way too fast! Good night.

My 3rd Day of Vacation...

Kimberly with her son, Dallin, who "shopped until he dropped"
Carmen, Kimberly and Children. We all had fun!
Me with our new toy! Gotta love it...
Kimberly and I with our great deals! I LOVE TO SHOP!
Kimberly, McKayla, Katelyn & I getting our traditional Peach Drink! I think the guy thought I was crazy asking him to take our pictures. I think Kimberly was thinking the same thing but oh well...
Bruce making Deviled Egg McMuffins & Orange Julius Protein Drink for breakfast! Very delicious - especially cuz I didn't have to make it :)
On our way to the temple a rock hit our back window by a lawn care person. It is kind of pretty!
We did a temple session at the Orquirrh Mtn Temple. This is the first time going there for Bruce - I went to the Open House with the Young Men/Women last year! It is very beautiful
After the temple session, we went to Applebee's for lunch @ the District
Kimberly painted Carmen's bedroom in squares and these fun green colors! I love it and Kimberly did a great job. Hope you will do my Craft Room! :)
So my 3rd day of vacation was another great one. Bruce made us breakfast and off to the temple. However, we didn't get too far when something hit our car and the window starting cracking. After the temple session we went to Applebee's. Bruce needed to go to work so I met Carmen and Kimberly and Kimberly's children at Jordan Landing. We had another great shopping spree. We went in on a Cuttlebug machine, split for a bit where Kimberly & family went to Old Navy and Maurice and Carmen & I went to Kohl's and found some great sales. Kimberly joined us and she also found some great sales! I LOVE shopping! After we stopped to get our traditional Peach drink and off to see Carmen's newly painted bedroom that Kimberly and Carmen's friend painted! All these fun different sized squares in different shades of Green & Brown! Turned out excellent and hope that I can get Kimberly to do something similiar in my Craft Room! Carmen can't paint. It seems like the smell of paint makes her wizzy and diarrhrea! I am laughing cuz I am sure you wanted to know this and Carmen is probably really embarassed now!
At 6 p.m. I met Monica (my friend since the 1st Grade) at Cafe Rio and we talked and laughed and had a lot of fun until it started to get dark! I forgot my camera and didn't get a picture. But Monica, I'm gonna stop by really soon and get a picture for my scrapbook.
It was another great day! I'm really enjoying my summer vacation! Can't wait for tomorrow... eek...

How I Spent My 2nd Day of Vacation!

Carmen outside of Heart Beads! Gotta love that store~
Carmen and the volunteer at the Cancer Center! Very nice lady
Carmen and my mom as we are shopping. Later asked if I took their picture. They think I am crazy :)
Carmen and I entering our next shopping spot!
My mom, Carmen and I after I bought my new bathroom attire! Kohls at the Brickyard had some great bathroom stuff as well as picture frames!

This morning my sister, Carmen, came to pick me up to first go to Heart Beads, where she bought some beads to make her friend a watch bracelet. I know, after 6 months, she finally caved in and is now going to make her first watch bracelet! :) After a quick stop and let me tell you it was a quick stop - quickest I have ever encountered, we drove over to the Cancer Center, where she had an appointment to learn how to apply make up, different ways to tie the scarves and find out additional information about the wigs. Did you know you can trade in your wig for a different one if you don't like it or get tired of it? Also, you can check out scarves and hats without cost. They are so kind to our cancer people. We waited and we were the only ones attending. The volunteer said it would be more beneficial and fun if there were more people and after watching the DVD, we understood that too. It is like therapy, you can talk among each other, feed off of each other and talk and help. So Carmen decided to wait another month and attend one at the Huntsman Center at the University of Utah. Carmen felt good about this decision, as did I. I hope Carmen will let me go with her next month!
Also today, six months ago, my Dad passed away. We drove to my mom's where we had lunch and took my mom shopping until she dropped! Carmen and I could have gone on, but mom was dropping! I did, however, find new bathroom attire for our basement bathroom. Now that Jennifer has moved out with her cousin, we have changed the bathroom colors from bright pink, orange, green blue and yellow to more neutral colors! I think Robby will like this. We returned home to our mom's house and had a fun visit reminising. This was another great, fun and exciting Vacation Day! Tune in tomorrow for Day 3! Good night!

How I Spent My First Day of Summer Vacation

At Rachel's house scrapbooking and having lots of fun!
I completed our fun Lagoon Day earlier this summer - 7 pages!
Rachel completed 16 pages! You go girl! :)
My Lagoon Pictures
Having dinner at Chili's in Centerville!
Several months ago I scheduled the week of July 12, off because we were going to Bear Lake with the Jackson’s but that fell thru. Then I thought I would go to Girls Camp this year at the stake property (the same week) with the Young Women. But then I found out there was only enough water pressure to flush toilets - no showers for four days! Well, I did that 10 years ago and the thought of doing that again didn’t feel like a vacation to me. So I decided to still take the week off and do some fun things here!
So...my first day of vacation, I drove up north to Clinton and spent the day with Rachel! I got there around 10:00 a.m. and we scrap booked, visited, laughed and ate until around 4:30 p.m. when we cleaned up and met Bruce and Travis for dinner at Chili’s in Centerville, Utah. Today was one of the most funniest and relaxing vacation days.

We were at Lagoon from the moment it opened until the moment it closed and had a lot of fun! We got tickets for $11.00 each!
Rachel on the swings!
Rachel and Katelyn (Kimberly's daughter). Look how cute they look!
Jennifer with Katelyn and then Kimberly with McKayla! Katelyn and McKayla LOVED all the rides and were VERY sad when Lagoon closed!

Me, Rachel, Jennifer, Kimberly and Katelyn at Lagoon-a-beach. Katelyn loved the slides and I think we went 20 times (I think I stopped at 10) and could have gone 20 more times

Memorial Day Weekend

Carmen, Ron and I at my sister's, Renate, gravesite. Mom taking picture
At this cute pastery shop downtown Salt Lake!

Me at Bruce's mom's gravesite. Bruce came later without the camera.

All of us at my Dad's gravesite!

This year for Memorial Day Weekend, we stayed home and did some fun things during the day with family while Bruce was working! We missed ya, Bruce.
Saturday, we went up and visited all the family gravesites. Then we went to a fun pastery shop in Salt Lake about 300 East and 250 South. Sunday, we had a barbeque at our home and after work, Bruce drove up to the cabin to have a barbeque with his family. I know, it's weird, but that's how it turned out this year and no we're not fighting or anything! :)
Monday, Rachel and Travis invited us to see their new home. They have it decorated so cutely (is that a word?) and we also had a continential breakfast. They were such fun hostesses! On the way home, we stopped in Layton at their Maddox and picked up chicken! It is the very best and we would on occasion drive to Layton to specifically buy Maddox Chicken.
The sad part of the day was that because of the holiday we did not get an email from Robby. Still not liking Monday holidays.
