TASTE OF FLORIDA!

So, yesterday, we had a "Taste of Florida" party to continue celebrating Robby's mission call to the Florida Jacksonville Mission. Bruce and I got Gator Meat (from Schneider's Meats) and Palm of Hearts (taken from the heart of the Palm Tree) from Sizzler's! We also had Mango Slushis, Grapefruit & Strawberry/Raspberry Fruit Salad, and Chicken Mignon. It was a lot of fun tasting Gator Meat, which was mixed with Barbeque Sauce and of course, all the fruits were delicious. I love the Palm of Hearts and whenever we go to Sizzler's, I always get a plateful! Robby and all of us seemed to enjoy the get together. Seven more weeks. Yikes!!! :)

ROBBY RECEIVED A MISSION CALL TO....

Hello...okay so today Robby received a mission call to the Florida Jacksonville Mission!!!! He is sooo excited and even more excited that he doesn't have to learn a new language! Goooo Gators..... Robby reports to the MTC Wednesday, April 8th. Exactly 8 weeks from today (Wednesday). So much to do in so little time! It was fun to watch him and see his excitment. He tore open the envelope and pulled out this booklet they sent. He didn't see the letter and all he had was the booklet that talked about serving a mission, but still didn't know where he was going. Finally someone said look in the envelope again and sure enough there was the letter! He then read where he was going and so excited! Rachel taped it and hopefully she is putting it on her blog (click on Rachel's blog address on the right side of my blog). Robby told us that he had a dream last night that he couldn't find the mission letter - his dream came true. He was so excited. Robby waited for Rachel and Travis to drive down from Ogden (Travis got off at 4:30) and then Bruce hurried home and Grandma and Grandpa Black came as well as Grandpa Jackson! Preston Butcher was coming over too and he was at the mall and Winchester was closed and took him forever to get to our house! Well worth the wait. After...some of his friends came over to help celebrate and visit. Bruce went and got pizza while Rach and Travis got drinks and treats. It is so fun to see Robby's excitement! We know Robby will be a great missionary. You go, Robby!

Happy New Year

Okay so I am backwards but I am all caught up and loving my new Creative Memories Storybook Computer Program. I went to a class yesterday and learned more about this program and can I say how excited I am. The classes went from 11-9pm and when I got home I tried to implement and do the things that I learned (some I'm still learning). But it is great! I played around with this program until 2 am and let me tell you it is exciting, great and still overwhelming but I am loving it. So...I am all caught up for 2009 (I know the year is still new) but I haqen't been caught up in a long time and now I can go back and catch up the other years.

Anway...Happy New Year and hope your new year is all that you want it to be.

Next posting I hope we are annoucning Robby's mission call....... Yikes!!!!
