It Is Finally Done!!!

After 3 years September, of remodeling, we are finally done!
We were always going to carpet and at the very last minute we decided to put in Bamboo Floors! Loving it and so glad we did it!!!!

Our new bedroom. We put bamboo floors throughout the upstairs. We have two walls that are a dark brown and two walls and light brown!
Our computer/baby room! Not moved it yet. They put crown molding around the windows, which we love!
My craft room! I love my Frosted Mulberry (aka Purple) walls! It looks great! Now I gotta get it all organized.
15 years ago this weekend we moved into our home! We feel like we are moving into a new home again! Thanks to Danny and Ryan Buffington, Patrick Wong and his assistant! Also thanks to Bruce for moving and storing furniture from 3 rooms into one Family Room! Gotta love these men!

My First Boutique

Oops...my eyes are closed!
Thanks to Kimberly who sorted out my beads and helped make some as well!
My table display...
Bruce put this together for me to display my jewelry. This way people could look and not feel overwhelmed!
Thanks, Shellee, for driving clear out west, west! I loved having you come and visiting and then helping me to pack up! After we met at Michael's - lots of fun!
We had so much fun that we have scheduled a "Fall Boutique" General Conference Saturday (in two weeks) between sessions from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Hopefully outside - weather permitting. We will have several other vendors and should be a lot of fun! Hope all will stop by - it would be a lot of fun to visit with all!

Queen Beads

I have been told I am the "Queen Bee of Beads" and so I have started my own little business called, "Queen Beads." I have been asked to make watch bracelets for others and people have stopped me and have either wanted my card or asked if I take orders! Please check out my blog at:
queenbeads-diane.blogspot.com. I have posted some of my bracelets and will do personalize, custom made jewelry. Also, please see me at the Fall Harvest Boutique Saturday, October 16, from 1-6p.m. The address is approximately 4300 South and 700 East.

I got caught...

So...my old work sent me this email:
DIANE,
SALLY WAS OFF YESTERDAY AND CAUGHT A GLANCE OF SOME CRAZY LADY IN THE AUDIENCE OF GOOD THINGS UTAH. SHE SAID SHE WAS WAVING HER ARMS AND SAYING "IT'S MY BIRTHDAY"!! SHE THOUGHT SHE LOOKED A LOT LIKE YOU!! SORRY WE MISSED YOUR BIRTHDAY. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND WE'RE GLAD YOU GOT TO SPEND IT IN SUCH A FUN WAY. SALLY SAID IT MADE HER DAY.
When I got this email, I was just laughing and of course had to explain myself and this is what Marianne emailed me back:
DANE, THAT MAKES IT EVEN FUNNIER. I WAS GOING TO CHECK IN THE COMPUTER BECAUSE I THOUGHT YOUR BIRTHDAY WAS LATER, BUT THEN SAID, I MUST BE WRONG!! ONLY YOU WOULD MAKE IT SO MUCH FUN. I WISH I'D SEEN IT.MARIANNE
It was a lot of fun and still laughing at what had happened!

Good Things Utah!

All the YW and Leaders with the "Good Things, Utah" Girls.
Mary, our YW's President and her daugher, Ambria!
All of us again with "The Girls!"
Me and Mercedes with the girls from "Good Things, Utah!"
We had so much fun going and being the audience at "Good Things Utah." We were rowdy before the show and they asked what we had for breakfast when the show began! Asked if there were any birthdays and I said, "yes, Kimi" - her birthday was two weeks ago, but oh well and then Mary said, "Oh, Diane's is on the 16th." So our names were mentioned and they showed us on TV. Mary later realized that it was Peggy's birthday on the 16th and not mine. Oh and well! I enjoyed playing like it was my birthday!
After the show, we all went to my house for lunch! Mary provided the food and it was a lot of fun visiting. I recorded the show and so we watched it again. However, we did fast forward the stuff we didn't want to see again. Thanks, girls, for making it a fun morning! Gotta love YW!

Campus BBQ

Today we had our 2nd Annual Campus BBQ! It was a lot of fun. The theme was "Cowboys" and we were asked to dress up! I think I was the only one that got the email though! It was a lot of fun dressing up and wearing purple. Everyone thought it was funny that I wore my cowboy boots with shorts! Had a purple bandana tied around my neck and Kristina, my niece, let me borrow her purple cowboy hat! Gotta see if she'll let me buy it from her - gotta get me one!
After lunch, some of us were hula hooping - haven't done that in years. One of my coworkers took a picture of me doing it. Will have to post when and if I get the picture! :)

Friday morning, while talking to Carmen, wishing good luck on her 2nd Chemo Treatment, I made my 4th watch bracelet! Fifteen minutes! See what you can do while talking on the phone (lol) At 10:00 a.m., I picked up my mom and we spent an hour or so with Carmen at IMC. Carmen's children all came and it was fun visiting with Carmen's family.
In the afternoon, Bruce packed up the car and we drove to the cabin in Midway, where we had a lot of fun Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Bruce and I made our Dutch Oven Dinner of Spareribs, Cheesy Potatoes and Peach Cobbler. Yummy. Susan, Bruce's sister, Danny and Grandpa Jackson joined us for dinner as well as Rachel and Travis. After dinner we went to the driving range and had a lot of fun!

Day 4 of My Summer Vacation

Watch Bracelets I made today!
Look at these walls in Joyce's daughter's room!
Circle around the window
I love these circles! Do I want squares or circles in my craft room?
Lunch at Iggy's with Joyce.
Today was a more relaxing day! I loved it. First off in the morning I was having several texting conversations with Rachel, Amie and Joyce! Gotta love texting. So much fun conversing with 3 different people at one time!
Joyce came to pick me up and we had a fun lunch at Iggy's. With a purchase of a speciality drink, we got a free bag. YEAH!!!
After lunch we went back to my house where I was showing Joyce the progress of our remodeling. I think all the solictators knew I was home - doorbell kept ringing and they wouldn't go away. I had to be rude to them in order for them to get the message.
After we went to Joyce's house. Gotta love the bedroom - color and everything! Home again cuz the car window repairman came! Off shopping for some beads - I know you'd think I have enough beads but not the right colors.
Made a watch bracelet when the phone rang. Somehow I stepped on my bead box and all of my beads scattered on the tile floor! OOOHHH NNNOOO!!!! Got them all cleaned up and continued. Made my second. The third was completed and as I put it on... OH NO... it broke!!!!!
Well, of course, I cleaned it up and tried again! The end of my fun 4th day! :) Thanks, Joyce, for making it a fun day! Tomorrow - last day of my summer vacation. This week passed by way too fast! Good night.

My 3rd Day of Vacation...

Kimberly with her son, Dallin, who "shopped until he dropped"
Carmen, Kimberly and Children. We all had fun!
Me with our new toy! Gotta love it...
Kimberly and I with our great deals! I LOVE TO SHOP!
Kimberly, McKayla, Katelyn & I getting our traditional Peach Drink! I think the guy thought I was crazy asking him to take our pictures. I think Kimberly was thinking the same thing but oh well...
Bruce making Deviled Egg McMuffins & Orange Julius Protein Drink for breakfast! Very delicious - especially cuz I didn't have to make it :)
On our way to the temple a rock hit our back window by a lawn care person. It is kind of pretty!
We did a temple session at the Orquirrh Mtn Temple. This is the first time going there for Bruce - I went to the Open House with the Young Men/Women last year! It is very beautiful
After the temple session, we went to Applebee's for lunch @ the District
Kimberly painted Carmen's bedroom in squares and these fun green colors! I love it and Kimberly did a great job. Hope you will do my Craft Room! :)
So my 3rd day of vacation was another great one. Bruce made us breakfast and off to the temple. However, we didn't get too far when something hit our car and the window starting cracking. After the temple session we went to Applebee's. Bruce needed to go to work so I met Carmen and Kimberly and Kimberly's children at Jordan Landing. We had another great shopping spree. We went in on a Cuttlebug machine, split for a bit where Kimberly & family went to Old Navy and Maurice and Carmen & I went to Kohl's and found some great sales. Kimberly joined us and she also found some great sales! I LOVE shopping! After we stopped to get our traditional Peach drink and off to see Carmen's newly painted bedroom that Kimberly and Carmen's friend painted! All these fun different sized squares in different shades of Green & Brown! Turned out excellent and hope that I can get Kimberly to do something similiar in my Craft Room! Carmen can't paint. It seems like the smell of paint makes her wizzy and diarrhrea! I am laughing cuz I am sure you wanted to know this and Carmen is probably really embarassed now!
At 6 p.m. I met Monica (my friend since the 1st Grade) at Cafe Rio and we talked and laughed and had a lot of fun until it started to get dark! I forgot my camera and didn't get a picture. But Monica, I'm gonna stop by really soon and get a picture for my scrapbook.
It was another great day! I'm really enjoying my summer vacation! Can't wait for tomorrow... eek...
