Barney Bag

I love my "Barney Bag!" And everyone else seems to like it too :) Wherever I go, I get compliments. Even strangers at the mall stop me and tell me they like my bag! It is also like a Mary Poppins Bag. It is bottomless. I can put so much in it and there is still room! It's really fun! When I pull things out, it is like the Ever Ready Battery Rabbitt... it keeps going and going and going! Thanks, Bruce, for buying it for me!!!!

FLOWERS AND BALLOONS FOR RENATE - WISH YOU WERE WITH US!

DIANE AND BRUCE

On Renate's birthday and the day Renate passed away, I always take off work to take my parents on a day trip I hopes to brighten their day a bit (how is that possible?) This year, Bruce took off work too and my parents wanted to go to Manti! So after visiting Renate's gravesite, off to Manti we went. What a beautiful drive. We thoroughly loved it. We got to Palisade Lake and ate lunch and enjoyed being outdoors and everything. It is a beautiful place and we will be going back next year to camp. There are some cabins to rent and so I think I talked my parents into coming and camping with us! YES...camping to them is the Marriott and so this is so exciting for us! Now...if we can get my brother (his family likes to camp) to come, we can make it a Family Camping Trip! Probably will be the first and last time! But we would have done it!
On our drive home, we drove the Mt. Nebo Loop (Nephi thru Payson). What a beautiful drive and saw such beautiful scenery! On this route there aren't deer crossing signs, but cow crossing signs! We saw at least 100 cows - got us hungry for a steak dinner! :) When we got to the summit and looked around, it was so beautiful and majestic! I understood the clip in The Sound of Music where Marie was running thru the hills singing! I actually wanted to do the same and take it all in! Heavenly Father has truly blessed us with a beautiful world. Utah has so many beautiful and different scenery and sites to see! It was a wonderful day...
On our way home, we did stop in Sizzler's to have a steak dinner! Sorry cows at Mt. Nebo or wherever!

Fun in the Sun!

Robin and I - new Council Members for PCMC Parties!

Our barbequer from PCMC

Some people I work with. Pauline in the black, on the front right, my supervisor and friend! On your left third person striped black is Bonnie - my partner in crime! I love working here!

So...we (my work) are a branch of Primary Children's Medical Center (offsite campus is what they call us) and this year Primary Children's Medical Center treated us to a "Fun in the Sun Barbeque." The behavior health clinic has an outpatient and inpatient clinic (I work in the outpatient clinic) and asked that a representative from each help coordinate this party. My supervisor's boss asked if I wanted to be on this council! Well...you know me and parties and of course I agreed. We had a lot of fun planning and coordinating this party! PCMC did most of the work and we did the coordinating. We were suppose to get T-shirts because we were on this council but we haven't received them yet (I wore bright pink and when I came to work, so did Robin, the other council member - we didn't plan it) and I said, "...oh well it is now over." The President of the Council said, "Oh no, once you're on this council you're on it forever. You will be a council member until you quit or transferred." Well...here you go. I posted some pictures. I coordinated the Kick Ball game - it was so fun - haven't played kick ball since grade school when we called it "Kick Soccer." I was playing in barefeet and there was poop on the grass - very hard running to base and trying to avoid the poop. Most of the time I was screaming to the bases. It was a lot of fun and look forward to the next PARTY!

Gone Fishin'!

I think he caught something
Yes...he did!

Dinner!

Bruce enjoying his fishing!

Today, Bruce and I went fishing at the Charleston Bridge (as the Provo River runs into Deer Creek) and had a lot of fun!

My First Pedicure! :)

Friday, I went with Mitzi (my new friend) and had my VERY FIRST pedicure. Only tried twice to kick the lady. After a couple of quick jerks of my leg, the pedicuriest grabbed my leg and held it tight. She survived with no helmet or shoulder pads! :)

Me with Neisha, Mardi and Reagan

The YW Presidency and Advisors: Mary (Pink), President; Susan (white) 1st Counselor; Mitzi (brown); 2nd Counselor; Peggy (black) Laurel Advisor; Amanda (white) Beehive Advisor; and me - MIA Maid Advisor
For our activity this week, we watched the taping of "Good Things Utah" It was so much fun! When they mentioned Murray, we were yelling, screaming, clapping that Mardi said we were the loudest. Then they were showing the audience and when it came to Mary and me, we raised our arms and were clapping and screaming. They mentioned birthdays, and Kirstie had a birthday and when they mentioned her name, I started screaming and clapping and stuff and Neisha looked and pointed to us and said, "You can come back tomorrow!" Of course, I started to clap even louder. After they took pictures with us and when I had a picture taken with them, Neisha said, "You are a riot!" Not thinking, I said, "I know, that is why they put me in YW's" Sorry...
After the taping, we went to my house for lunch and having a lot of fun! Then my new best friend, Mitzi and her daughter, Tasha went and "hung out" and shopped! Mitzi even talked me in to getting a pedicure! I hope that person has a helmut and shoulder pads! It was a very fun day! So glad I went!

Bear Lake 2009

Once again, we had so much fun at Bear Lake! We had an overcast and then the winds came. Blew are 2 canapes away! I caught mine and held on to it until the guys came back on their wave runners. The winds were strong and had white capped waves. But Ron and Matt had fun on the wave runners during that time! After we packed up, we went to get the famous Strawberry shakes and homemade hamburgers and fries! Then we drove to Logan to "camp" (my parents came with us and their definition for camping is "hotel). They had a nice indoor swimming pool so they kids swam until it was time to get ready for dinner - Olive Garden! I must say I did enjoy this type of camping. The next day Travis and Bruce went fishing (you'll see shortly the fish Travis caught). Travis wanted Rachel to come, but Rachel told him that her "fishing hole" was Hobby Lobby! So we drove Bruce and Travis to their fishing hole and went shopping! Which was a lot of fun! Never have been to Hobby Lobby but found a lot of fun stuff! Next we picked up the guys from fishing and also picked up my two nephews and dropped them off at Logan's new outdoor swimming spot (Murray needs to update and upgrade). Bruce and I went shopping! Bruce went with me to TJ Max and I went with him to Sports Authority (which I like also). Picked up the swimmers and headed up (Travis and Rachel needed to be back for the baseball game). It truly was a really fun trip! I love Bear Lake and Bruce and I are thinking about doing a Time Share when they finish their new condos! Getting up at 4:30 a.m and the drive is well worth it!
