Happy Birthday!

Golfing gloves and a gift card to use at Costco from Dave, Lisa, Bruce & I and our families!
The 7 seven candles are the tricky ones that don't blow out! Made him llaugh!

Happy Birthday Dad Jackson/Grandpa Jackson! Hope we will be able to celebrate your 88th birthday with you! :)

Saturday, April 17, we celebrated Bruce's Dad's birthday with the Jackson family! We first met at Iggy's - I think one of Bruce's Dad's favorites cuz he can watch sports on a big screen - then later those who could, met our house for Birthday cake and gifts. This year Dad Jackson didn't want anything - seriously! So we, of course didn't listen and both Dave & Lisa and Bruce & I and our families went in on the golf glove and a gift card to Costco - which I think he really loved. We figured after his daily golf games this summer, he could drive over and look around at Costco and buy a hot dog or whatever for lunch! What do you really give your parents except really our time! Happy Birthday (April 20th)! Hope you had a great day!!!!!

Christmas in April!

So we received our Christmas package from Robby in April! In his email today he said that he forgot to bring paper and so he wrote us a letter on the bottom of the box. :) We didn't notice that he had done this and so glad we still had the box! Pretty clever. That's our Robby! :)

Around the Clock Bridal Shower

Megan & Chloe (Brittany's sister), Jennifer, Emily & Aubrey (Brittany's sisters), me, Brittany and Lisa (Brittany's mom)Barbara (Shawn's mom) Brittany, and Lisa (Brittany's mom)Brittany and Shawn. I think Shawn was happy to help Brittany open gifts. Aubrey made this wood piece - spelling out Family. It is VERY cute!Brittany and Shawn made the white chocolates. Half of these are of the Logan Temple where Shawn proposed. The other half are of the Salt Lake Temple where they will be married at. The pink are flowers. Brittany's favorite color has always and will always be PINK! Gotta love it!I had 3 p.m. I chose "Afternoon Delight!" Brittany was embarassed - Shawn loved it! Rachel said, "It wouldn't have matter what time my mom would have had, she would have gotten this gift in anyway." I think Rachel is very smart! It is SO true! We had a lot of fun!Brittany's sisters and her mom and I gave Brittany a shower. Jennifer, my niece, helped by getting my house together while I was at work. The theme we chose was "Around the Clock." On the invitations, everyone was assigned to buy a gift for their assigned time. It was a lot of fun. I think Brittany and Shawn really loved it. Shawn was a sport to join us. Brittany is the last of the Jackson girls to get married and so I think I am done giving bridal showers! I had a lot of fun doing it with the family. Megan's we had the guests make a Scrapbook page. Both Emily and Aubrey wanted the Alphabet Shower and Brittany liked the idea of "Around the Clock." I taped under the chairs a watchband with a watch face to go with the theme as the grand prize. 2nd place was just a watch band and third place was a bracelet. Friday night Shawn said it was fair for those that sat on the couch so I had two more bracelets and taped them on one of the two couch cushions! We served 5 different salads and had Pink, Purple, and Green Flowered cookies for dessert (Brittany's bridal colors). Thank you for everyone's help! It truly was a lot of fun!!!

Someone is missing!

October 2009 - who is missing?
April 2010

So for General Conference, my family gets together to make waffles and other breakfast foods! This is the first time without my Dad and today was a little bit hard for me. I know it is kind of silly, but I just had a hard time doing the waffles cuz it was my Dad, Andrea and I doing them. We would talk and my Dad would tease me and then he would get done before me and would help me or I would get done (not too often) and help him. I just started really crying and then rest of the afternoon just couldn't stop crying until I got that phone message from a lady from Gainesville, Florida. I went to pick up my mom when she left me this message that she saw Elder Jackson at their General Conference meeting and he had asked her to call us and wish us a Happy Easter! She went on to say that Robby is doing great and that he is happy! I wished I had been there to speak with this cute lady! Both Bruce and I thought is was very thoughtful of Robby to think of us! Bruce said, "Robby couldn't call so he had someone else call us."
