April 2010
So for General Conference, my family gets together to make waffles and other breakfast foods! This is the first time without my Dad and today was a little bit hard for me. I know it is kind of silly, but I just had a hard time doing the waffles cuz it was my Dad, Andrea and I doing them. We would talk and my Dad would tease me and then he would get done before me and would help me or I would get done (not too often) and help him. I just started really crying and then rest of the afternoon just couldn't stop crying until I got that phone message from a lady from Gainesville, Florida. I went to pick up my mom when she left me this message that she saw Elder Jackson at their General Conference meeting and he had asked her to call us and wish us a Happy Easter! She went on to say that Robby is doing great and that he is happy! I wished I had been there to speak with this cute lady! Both Bruce and I thought is was very thoughtful of Robby to think of us! Bruce said, "Robby couldn't call so he had someone else call us."

Aren't the holidays rough after you lose someone? Its been almost two years since my Gma passed away, and it just seems like she should still be there. I guess the great part is that they created such strong memories and traditions, that you can't help but pass them along to your kids too. Sorry it was such a sad weekend for you. Good thing that Robby knows when to pay his parents a phone call. That has to be great to know he is doing so well. How is everything going with your neice?
